he peak of the riding season is no time to find out that your bike’s clutch is ailing. Barnett Performance has been nursing sick clutches back to health since 1948, and after more than 50 years of making performance clutch kits and a full line of replacement and custom-made control cables they decided to take it to the next level with the Scorpion billet clutch assembly, which features plates with twice the surface area of OEM plates, as well as the adjustability of six coil springs, and a 6061-T6 billet aluminum pressure plate.
In 2005 Barnett is expanding the Scorpion line to include new lock-up clutches, billet primary covers, and 3-inch open belt drives. The new lock-up pressure plate features six adjustable “pressure arms” that increase spring pressure as the RPMS increase. The adjustable pressure arms allow the use of lighter clutch springs for a lighter pull. Scorpion billet primary covers have an oversized and repositioned derby cover so you can service or adjust the clutch without removing the cover, and they work with both Scorpion and OEM clutches.
The Scorpion 3-inch belt drive rounds out this summer’s new products from Barnett, and sets a new standard for the custom-bike scene. Ask your Drag Specialties rep about all the new Barnett Performance products for 2005, and keep your parts sales healthy all summer long.
