you look at most motorcycle riding apparel you often see familiar patterns.
Not with Icon. Never content with “me too” style in their
gear Icon always seems to pack quality and protection into innovative
looks and leading edge designs. And no one but Icon has ever packed
so much sex appeal in protective apparel before!
The Pink Kitty Jacket from Icon is part of their ladies line. Based
on the Tuscadero jacket chassis, Icon turned the dials up to eleven,
and presto…the hottest women’s jacket to ever hit the
streets. Naughty and nice all rolled into one jacket with enough attitude
for any alley cat. It looks great, and also protects great with CE
approved armor, made from a 1.2-1.4mm leather chassis with loads of
appliqués
and graphics with a removable insulated liner, the Pink Kitty runs in
the heat and cold for a suggested retail of $400.
Also in the Icon ladies gear line is the Pink Team Merc jacket. Icon
doesn’t cut corners anywhere. The Women’s Team Merc Jacket
is a prime example of this philosophy. Even though this is one of least
expensive jackets in the Icon line-up, it performs as well or better
than most of its higher-priced competition. The Dynax nylon chassis and
CE approved armor combine to form one tough piece of riding apparel.
Icon could have gone with a cheaper nylon or flimsy padding, but in the
end it just isn’t worth it. Icon jackets are designed to protect
you, regardless of the retail price. The Pink Team Merc comes with ribbed
spandex panels for cooling airflow, elbow/shoulder armor and a tank scratch
elimination flap. Plus, this jacket is designed to specifically fit women
and goes out at only $160.
To complement either pink jacket, Icon offers the Pink Tarmac 2 gloves.
A lot of us wear motocross gloves for street riding because they’re
just so damn comfortable. But the reality is motocross gloves were not
designed to take an impact with asphalt. That’s why Icon designed
the new Tarmac glove. It’s got the super-comfy fit of a MX glove
but it’s been endowed with a few street bike specific features.
Most notable is the genuine goatskin palm. Goatskin has a naturally superior
abrasion resistance. Then Icon mated the goat hide to a super durable,
yet breathable mesh chassis. Finally, the entire glove was given a hella-precurve
to fit the shape of your grips…you know, round. The result? The
fit of an MX glove and the protection of a summer weight street glove
at $35 suggested retail.
And to finish the day in pink, Icon offers the pink casual wear beanie.
Yes, it’s a hat for the ladies that is perfect to cover up helmet
hair or just because it looks good.
These are just a few of the great products in the Icon line-up. Ask your
