Houston was the final round of the AMA 125 West Supercross Series as well, but that didn’t matter much to Bridgestone’s Ivan Tedesco. He’d already clinched his second straight 125 West Championship at the previous round in Seattle. And making it three-for-three, another Bridgestone rider took the AMA 125 East Championship. Grant Langston wrapped up his first-ever AMA Supercross title in Pontiac, Michigan, finishing first in the tightest and closest 125 Supercross Series ever. While that series actually ended in a points-tie (for the first time ever) Langston captured the title by racking up more overall wins for the season. His three wins during the seven-race 125 East Series was just enough to put him over the top, and it was one heck of a comeback, too. This 2005 Champ had been sidelined for much of the 2004 season with injuries. Carmichael, Tedesco and Langston are three of the biggest names in Supercross–and the three champions for the 2005 Supercross season. This is the seventh time in the last 10 years a Bridgestone rider has won the AMA 250 Supercross title. As for the AMA 125 Supercross titles, where there are two champions per year, a Bridgestone rider has been named champion 12 out of 20 times in the last 10 years. There have been more Supercross champions on Bridgestone tires than all other tire companies combined! That’s something your off-road riding and racing customers can take notice of. Bridgestone tires are the winners’ choice, and it doesn’t seem to matter what brand of bike they’re mounted on. Carmichael’s Suzuki and the Kawasaki riders Tedesco and Langston led the way on Bridgestone tires. And dropping just a few more names, factory Yamaha riders Chad Reed, David Vuillemin and Tim Ferry all raced on Bridgestone tires this season putting on another exciting year of racing. Mike LaRocco of Team Amsoil/Chaparral/Factory Connection Honda also had another great year on Bridgestone tires as well. Now that’s an impressive lineup, and those Bridgestone tires chosen by the 2005 Champions and the hard-chargers right behind them are all in the Parts Unlimited catalog. The M201 and M202 soft-terrain tires are there. So are the M401 and M402 intermediates and the M601 and M602 hard terrain Bridgestone tires. Don’t forget that Bridgestone also has the new 90/100-21 front and 120/80-19 rear sizing available in the soft- and intermediate-terrain styles, with more sizes and compounds coming soon. They’re all there waiting for someone new to come along and use them to grab another championship–even if that championship comes at a local track on a Sunday afternoon and the grand prize is a trophy and bragging rights! It’s the winning that counts, and this year the winners all raced on Bridgestones. Parts Unlimited carries them all, so call your rep today to get more info on Bridgestone’s winning line-up of tires. |
