all
it “Price Times Two.” You can call it a slam-dunk winner,
as well. Kenny Price, founder, owner and president of Samson Motorcycle
Products has just joined forces with Ray Price, a guy whose name is
just about synonymous with Harley-Davidson drag racing. Starting right
now, Samson is the title-sponsor for the Ray Price Motorsports Top
Fuel Nitro Bike, and the 2005 AHDRA/NHRA season is in for some serious
fireworks and thunder.
This team-up is a natural. Based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ray
Price has one of the biggest Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country.
It’s the only one with a Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Museum right
on site. With 37 years racing experience behind him, Ray Price has been
inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall Of Fame, he helped
design and develop the first wheelie-bar for motorcycles and developed
the 2-speed racing transmission. On the track and in the dealership Ray
Price is a guy who’s definitely been there and done that! Ray Price
was the only drag racer chosen to perform at Harley’s 100th Anniversary
Party in Milwaukee, and back in 2002 he set the Nitro Harley World ET
record with a blistering 6.365-second pass at 224.21 MPH.
The Samson name, as well known and respected in the Harley aftermarket
exhaust field as Ray Price’s is on the track, will be all over
this for the 2005 AHDRA/NHRA season, too. Everywhere Ray Price Motorsports
goes while contesting the full 15-event AHDRA schedule, the three NHRA
Exhibition Races, the ESPN2 TV specials and at all the special promotions
all over the country and even the H.O.G. rallies, Samson will be right
there with him. Ray Price Motorsports spells Harley performance, and
now riders seeing all this–with that prominent Samson title-sponsorship
right out in front–will naturally connect the two when it comes
to choosing a set of pipes.
And Samson has the pipes performance Harley riders want. The Samson/Calibers,
for example, are the industry’s first true 4-Step headers. These
are pipes powerful enough to take a stock 60-horsepower Twin Cam clear
up into the mid-70s, with a torque boost to match. Put those Calibers
on a 95-incher and the gains really get huge. “We designed these
pipes to breathe,” says the other Price in this new team-up, Kenny
Price at Samson. “And the bigger the engine, the bigger the gains.” The
Calibers start off with a perfect 1 3/4-inch diameter at the port, step
up to 1 7/8-inch, then 2-inches and finish off emptying into big 2 1/4-inch
pipes. All of this gets full coverage 2 1/2-inch chromed heatshields,
and the Calibers are available for everything–Sportsters, Softails,
Dynas, Road Kings and dressers. There are Caliber styles to suit all
tastes, too, whether it’s classic Staggered Duals, 2-into-1s, True
Duals or Over & Unders. The Calibers are Harley pipes that perform,
and every one in every application and style has the looks and sound
to match.
Drag Specialties has all those Calibers in stock, too. They’re
ready and waiting for you and your performance-minded customers. And
now, with Samson teamed up as the title-sponsor of Ray Price Motorsports,
performance riders everywhere will think Samson when they think performance.
Get ready.

Samson’s
popular Caliber Exhaust line offers the true quality and performance that
Harley riders expect. Not only do the Calibers boost horsepower and torque,
but they look great too!
