ith all the emphasis put on big-inch, high-horsepower engines, brakes are more important than ever. After all, what good is a lot of go if you don’t have the whoa to match? Not much, which is why Brembo brakes are showing up on more and more custom V-twins, and even on production bikes like Harley’s new Street Rod.
Brembo is an engineering company at heart, with over 10 percent of its 3900 employees dedicated to research, development and innovation. Now you can add style to the list of reasons to go with Brembo brakes. Brembo’s newest full-floating rotors now come with polished hardware for braking power that looks as good as it performs.
And Brembo’s new four-piston brake caliper now uses four separate pads instead of two, for 100 percent contact between the piston and the pad’s backing plate. This eliminates the need for differential-bore calipers that exert less pressure on the leading edge of the pads than on the trailing edge. The bolts that hold the caliper halves together are now on the back of the caliper, too, for a cleaner look.
Talk to your Drag Specialties rep about the new Brembo line. For something that stops that well, Brembo brakes sure move fast.
