Barnett’s new Platinum Series cables are the perfect addition to the existing lineup of stainless steel braided cables and the familiar black cables. The Platinum Series housing is made with a silver-plated copper wire braid, and it’s bright. It’s covered with a clear extruded Teflon to keep it that way, too, and to protect the motorcycle’s paint and chrome. That Teflon won’t discolor or fade, either. UV rays or chemicals won’t bother it. The new Platinum Series cables are available for the throttle, idle, speedometer, tachometer, and of course the clutch. Barnett’s new solid-billet primary cover is pretty special, too. Unlike other primary covers available, this unit was designed to accommodate a lock-up clutch. The cover is 1 1/8 inch deeper at the clutch cover portion. Barnett has relocated and oversized the derby cover, too. It’s perfectly centered over the clutch itself. This allows full access to the clutch for maintenance, adjustment or replacement. You won’t have to take this primary cover off to work on the clutch, just remove the derby cover and you’re there. There are applications for 1994 and later FLs and 1990 to 2005 Softails and Dynas, and the cover is available either polished or polished-and-chromed. You can count on Barnett for belt-drives now, too. The new Barnett primary is a hefty 3-inch external drive system incorporating one of Barnett’s Scorpion lock-up clutches for an easy lever effort and positive engagement. Everything’s billet, it’s all polished and there are outboard bearings at both ends. This is one rugged unit, but coming from Barnett what else would you expect? Ask your rep for more details on all of this, that new outer primary cover, the Platinum Series cables and the new Barnett belt-primary. It’s all available through Drag Specialties. |
