These
new ATV sprayers from Moose Utility Division are designed for the application
of herbicides and pesticides to hard to reach areas. These easy to use
and install sprayers are available in 15-gallon, 25-gallon standard or
25-gallon deluxe models.
armers
and ranchers, hunters who prepare food plots, and almost anyone in
property maintenance for public facilities or private estates will
welcome the new line of Moose Utility Division operator-friendly
ATV sprayers. Intended for application of herbicides and pesticides
to difficult or confined areas like fence lines, ditches, row crops,
small trees and pastures, these versatile spot sprayers are easy
to use and ready for Roundup™ and other popular pest controls.
All three Moose sprayer models start with a corrosion-resistant polyethylene
tank with four molded-in bottom inserts that can be used to mount the
tank on almost any ATV rack. The low-profile tanks improve vehicle stability
when turning and side hilling.
The 15-gallon Moose sprayer has a 1.0-gallon
per minute (GPM) high-flow nozzle operating at 35-psi. The 25-gallon
standard model has a 2.1-gpm operating at 60-psi, while the 25-gallon
deluxe model has a 3.8-gpm pump operating at 45-psi with a “Y” valve
for adjustable pressure and a glycerin-filled pressure gauge. Each also
includes a handgun with an adjustable tip and 15-feet of hose.
Installation is easy, too, with a fuse-protected 96-inch lead wire featuring
a quick-disconnect plug.
Moose sprayers are engineered for ease of use, beginning with a tethered 5-inch
screw-on fill cap. Molded-in tank markers indicate material volume in both gallons
and liters. Molded recesses on the ends provide hose storage space, with large
horns for hose support and molded wand clips.
When it’s time to spray, all the operator needs to do is uncoil the hose
and hit the on/off switch. A solid suction tube insures full drainage during
spraying, and a full-length drain sump with a tethered cap allows removal of
any unneeded material afterwards.
Either 25-gallon Moose spot sprayer can be fitted with a spray boom kit for broader
coverage. The 3-nozzle “boomless” kit provides 30-inches of spray
coverage from independently adjustable nozzles that can spray up, down, right,
center, left or multiple directions. The 5-nozzle boom provides 100-inches of
spray coverage and folds behind the tank for transport. The 7-nozzle boom sprays
a huge 140-inch swath, and also folds up when not in use. All Moose booms have
no-drip diaphragm nozzles with check valves, and all include fittings to connect
to most sprayers.
The Moose 15-gallon spot sprayer has the attractive list price of just $164.95.
The 25-gallon standard sprayer lists for just $255.95, with the 25-gallon deluxe
model at $299.95. The 3-nozzle “boomless” kit is only $228.95, with
the 5-nozzle spray boom retailing at just $214.95, and the big 7-nozzle spray
boom at $251.95. Ask your Parts Unlimited rep about the new M.U.D. ATV Sprayers
