Paul Yaffe
and Bill Werner. Any exhaust manufacturer would jump at the opportunity
to work with these Harley-Davidson experts, but only one can actually
say they do.
Werner Brings Four Decades of Harley Racing Experience to SuperTrapp Werner recently signed a deal with SuperTrapp to collaborate on the designs for both race specific systems as well as street models. Werner has been the driving force of the Harley-Davidson racing team since 1966. During his years with Harley-Davidson, Werner won AMA championships with Gary Scott, Jay Springsteen and Scott Parker. Following his stellar career as a Harley race mechanic, Werner was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000. Throughout his career, Werner has always looked for an edge on the track, something he plans to continue doing in his work with SuperTrapp.Currently, Werner is hard at work on SuperTrapp’s race specific systems, but in the future, he will also devote his attention to other SuperTrapp products. SuperTrapp’s Bill Werner-designed exhausts are scheduled to arrive in dealerships during the 2005 riding season. Paul Yaffe Already a “Legend” With SuperTrapp How do you improve one of the leading performance exhaust systems on the market? In SuperTrapp’s case, they turned to Paul Yaffe, owner of Paul Yaffe Originals, to spice up their pipes. For 20 years, Yaffe has been designing some of the most stylish custom Harley-Davidsons in the world. Yaffe builds about 12 custom bikes each year, investing up to 700 hours in each bike. His projects have been featured on TV as well as in magazines worldwide.“Custom built bikes are now more popular than ever because of shows like American Chopper and Biker Build-off,” SuperTrapp president Kevin Berger said. “Paul Yaffe is one of the reasons that custom bikes have taken off. We feel that with Yaffe designed pipes we can bring a custom feel to a bike without blowing our customer’s budget.” Yaffe’s contributions to SuperTrapp have resulted in The Road Legends series. The series already includes one of the most popular SuperTrapp designs, X-pipes, with their classic over-and-under design along with highly stylized Crack Pipes. This year, Road Legends will add its most anticipated exhaust yet: Phantom Pipes. Inspired by the response he received to his Phantom Bike project on Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-Off, Yaffe has based his newest design on the famous exhaust that shot flames 30 ft. into the air. The Phantom Pipes, sold minus the flames of course, are sure to be in high demand. SuperTrapp’s Most SuperTrapp
may have a lot of high profile experts involved with the production
of their exhaust systems, but that does not mean that they have
forgotten about the most important SuperTrapp expert, the dealer.
