Cobra has what it takes to make this happen. The Fi2000R fuel management system installs in minutes to clear up the induction side of this equation, and the new Swept Speedsters pipes with their great balance of horsepower and rideability take over on the exhaust side of things. These two additions alone can dramatically change a Harley for the better. Cobra’s Fi2000R is a foolproof fuel-management unit. It’s available for Softails, Dynas, FLs and there’s a model for the V-Rod, too. This Harley-Davidson fuel controller functions the same as the wildly popular Cobra Fi2000, but the new “R” version is calibrated especially for Harleys. It features connectors that snap directly into the bike’s injector bodies, too. Installation is easy and the Fi2000R is easy on the wallet. It retails for just $239.95. The Fi2000R is easy to use. There’s no computer downloads or complicated re-mapping involved because each unit comes preset by Cobra for the application. Three adjustment screws (pots) come preset for the year and model, and those same adjustment screws can also be regulated for independent tuning of the cruise fuel (to optimize mileage), the acceleration fuel (to optimize throttle response) and the power fuel (for maximum horsepower). Two pots adjust low-speed and mid-range settings, the third is for the high range, especially useful on bikes with high-flow air filters, extensive engine modifications or big-bore kits. The Fi2000R installs in minutes, and with no computer settings or Internet downloads involved it’s a plug-n-play job. Simple. Combine that Fi2000R induction tuning with a set of Swept Speedsters pipes and you’ve just opened up that Harley on both ends. These Cobra pipes are real performers. Thanks to the Cobra PowerPort, a proprietary crossover technology, these pipes build power from idle right up to redline. The gains over stock are among the highest in the business. This is a 2-into-2 exhaust delivering a level of power normally experienced with a 2-into-1 system. And the Swept Speedsters look great and sound better. They’re triple-chrome plated, they come with full-length 222-degree heat shields and there are even chromed aluminum billet tips. The new Swept Speedsters share all the features that have made the original Cobra Speedsters one of the most popular aftermarket exhausts on the market. Two quick changes, installing that Cobra Fi2000R and the Swept Speedsters exhaust, can transform a stock Harley into a bike that’s even more fun to own and ride. Drag Specialties has both of these pieces in stock now. |
