Hot Rods’ 2-stroke crank

With the increasing popularity of 4-stroke machines, Hot Rods has answered the call with their 4-stroke cranks.

With the Pit Bike craze Hot Cams has answered the call with a stage one and stage two for this very popular machine.

Worn or rusted wheel bearings can cause loss of braking and steering control. Fix this problem with Pivot Works Wheel Bearing Kits, available for both front and rear wheels (front shown).

n the early 1990’s, motorcycle enthusiast and engineering graduate Curt Leaverton was searching for replacement connecting rods for his vintage motorcycle. Realizing that other motorcyclists faced the same challenge for modern dirt bikes, he began marketing a variety of replacement rods for various models. Based on his initial success, he formed a company called Hot Rods, which has become the world’s largest powersports aftermarket supplier of cranks and rods with 45 different cranks and 100 different models of rods. Today, the name Hot Rods is synonymous with a reliable, convenient and affordable preference for replacing worn cranks and rods.
With all going so well, the management team at Hot Rods decided it was time to further expand their product line and customer base in order make their products more accessible to the marketplace. Beginning November 1, 2004, Hot Rods changed its distribution model to be more consistent with sister companies, Pivot Works and Hot Cams. For more than10 years, Parts Unlimited has effectively distributed Hot Rods Cranks and Rods and they’re proud to continue and strengthen that partnership into the future. Hot Rods and Parts Unlimited has a long lasting relationship and will continue to provide dealers with the best cranks and rods available at a tremendous value. The entire proven and trusted Hot Rods product line is in stock and available through Parts Unlimited.
Going forward, the only name associated with Hot Rods will be Hot Rods, the original cranks and rods. That’s the way it should be. After all, Hot Rods is the company that developed the product. Hot Rods is the company that will dedicate itself to continually bringing you and your customers new products and design innovations. Hot Rods is the company that stands behind the product with a customer service center always ready to answer your questions (515-402-8100).
They are, after all, the original Hot Rods, the world’s leading supplier of aftermarket performance crankshafts and connecting rods.

     Hot Cams
Sister company to Hot Rods is Hot Cams, the makers of outstanding camshafts. What sets Hot Cams apart from other camshafts? Convenience and engineering! Hot Cams is the first camshaft company to produce its own cores for the dirt bike and ATV market. This means no more core charges or having to send in your camshaft for welding. It also means hard facing your rocker arms is no longer required. Buy a Hot Cams camshaft and simply install it. Hot Cams has done all the engineering for you–no need for aftermarket valve springs or piston cutting on almost all of their camshafts. And all of Hot Cams camshafts have been dyno developed to guarantee improved performance.
What Hot Cams has achieved is to make it incredibly easy to change out the stock cams for their high performance cams to enjoy a substantial increase in performance. Hot Cams camshafts are not just for racing. Everyone can benefit from the additional torque on demand. The performance gains will make almost any four-stroke more fun to ride. The Hot Cams camshafts makes the power in the middle so much stronger and quicker, and the top end will continue to pull as always. It’s just a lot more of a good thing! The power gains are substantial, but the price is not. The camshafts for most four-stroke single cylinder machines are around $159.95 each. This is a small price for the impressive performance gains.      Visit Hot Cams inc. web site or give your Parts Unlimited Rep a call and order your new high performance intake and exhaust camshafts for almost any make and model dirt bike or ATV. All of their camshafts have been dyno developed to guarantee improved performance.
Pivot Works
The third sister company in the triad is Pivot Works. Pivot Works produces bearing and seal replacement kits for dirt bikes and ATVs. The kits contain specially designed bearings along with case hardened pins that replace the OEM bronze bushing setup. The kits also reduce linkage friction and improve suspension performance.
