he Ti-Tech is AGV’s most advanced helmet yet, and may be destined to become a racer’s favorite. Computer developed and wind-tunnel tested with the help of World Champion Valentino Rossi—who wore a Ti-Tech all last season—this ultra-lightweight helmet slices through the air. The Ti-Tech isn’t just for the track, either. This helmet’s innovative ventilation system will make it a street rider’s top-shelf top pick. Fresh air is continually channeled throughout the Ti-Tech, even directed up onto the interior of the face shield to eliminate fogging. Light weight, an aerodynamic design and unparalleled ventilation combine to make the Ti-Tech a standout, on the track or off.
The Ti-Tech shell uses of some of the most advanced structural materials on the planet, combining high mechanical resistance with reduced weight. The helmet’s Super Light Shell (SLS) is constructed using Aramid fibers in a herringbone weave, carbon fiber and fiberglass. That materials trio brings with it exceptional flexibility and strength, a high breaking point and a dense weave for a smooth and uniform finish. All of that’s been formed into a computer-designed shell that’s been wind-tunnel developed for maximum aerodynamic performance, and then track-tested by Rossi to assure that there’s no buffeting and no lift.
The Ti-Tech interior is equally state-of-the-art. AGV has included a lining, cheek pads and neck guard all easily removable for cleaning. To further enhance the comfort factor the Ti-Tech interior uses DuPont’s revolutionary CoolMax material. CoolMax wicks perspiration away from the body, meaning that a rider wearing a Ti-Tech stays fresh, dry and comfortable. CoolMax’s permanent antibacterial treatment prevents the formation of offending odors, too.

The Ti-Tech is available in four solids, four multi-Graphics and two Rossi Replicas.

Computer Aided Design and extensive wind-tunnel testing helped AGV create the Ti-Tech’s advanced ventilation system.

All that would be plenty in a high-end helmet—and is in some—but it’s just the beginning of the feature list with the Ti-Tech. This helmet’s ventilation system puts this newest AGV in a class by itself. AGV is the first to introduce Titanium-Technologies in the creation of a helmet. An Integrated Ventilation System (IVS) uses air vents made of pure titanium and set-in channels hollowed directly into the shell itself. And there’s more. The Ti-Tech’s Double Vented EPS System (D-VES) and its two-piece internal shell create channels for the air to travel through inside the helmet. The system brings more fresh air into the helmet, channeling it directly over the rider’s head. This is one comfortable helmet.
The Ti-Tech’s Double-Vented EPS System (D-VES) also features cheek pads and a chin guard made of more shock-absorbing Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), all lined with embossed polyurethane to enhance the helmet’s internal finish. There’s a half-moon shaped element specifically formed to facilitate fitting of the liner, and thanks to the careful tapering of the counter-shell, even more fresh air is directed straight toward the rider’s forehead. And this ventilation system also channels air right onto the face shield to prevent fogging. The control for that is in a recessed area inside the chin guard.
Those ventilation systems are special on a couple of levels. Not only does the IVS channel fresh air to where it’s needed, they’re structural elements, designed to significantly improve aerodynamic penetration at top speed. Adjustable titanium front vents direct fresh air in through two internal ducts and stale air is drawn out through titanium hot-air extractors. Adjustable vents in the chin guard, regulated with an outflow deflector, aid in the efficient air-flow throughout the helmet. There are titanium side vents, too, extracting any residual stale air. Computer Aided Design and extensive wind-tunnel testing—not to forget Rossi’s input—helped AGV arrive at this design.
IVS uses titanium components exclusively, too, all developed with a molding process that includes lamination and laser etching. The upper-front air vents feature a micro-metric airflow regulation system, the rear extractors enhance the line of the helmet and include a protective mesh for the system’s internal parts. The front venting, adjusted and controlled right inside the chin guard, also has a protective mesh covering.
Besides creating an extremely advanced ventilation system with all this, AGV’s created four different internal EPS counter-shells to go with it. Easily swapped in the Ti-Tech shell, the result is a perfect fit every time for all head shapes and head sizes.
The Ti-Tech is available right now. Parts Unlimited has it, and there’s little question who’ll want it. This track star, thanks to that internal ventilation system, will be a street-rider’s dream. Flush mounted quick-release/tool-less shields in conjunction with a flip-down chin guard and neck curtain—combined with the extensive wind tunnel testing—make this one of the quietest helmets on the market, too. It’s offered in plenty of colors and graphics, too. There are a pair of Rossi Replicas ($649.95), four Multi-Graphics ($619.95) and four Solids ($569.95). Check them all out.
