Good sealing between the airbox cover and backing plate is essential to keep air leaks from upsetting the engine’s jetting. Drag Specialties air filters use a precision, hand-poured, pliable urethane body that won’t crack or curl like rubber. Since it’s pliable, urethane conforms to the shape of the air cleaner cover and backing plate more completely, sealing out dirt and leaving jetting unaffected.
