The
Factory 4 is FMF’s premier four-stroke exhaust system.

MF
began in 1973 with Donnie Emler tinkering in his garage working through
ideas that could make motorcycles go faster. In the three decades
since then a lot has changed—but a lot has also stayed the
same. The equipment, the machinery and the facility have all expanded
and become more sophisticated, but the original driving passion to “Feel
The Power” remains.
Hand-in-hand with that initial desire to develop power for all kinds
of motorcycles is FMF’s passion for racing. That’s why you’ll
see FMF semi trucks at races all over the United States as well as FMF
exhaust systems being used by top racers througout the sport. Just look
at the series they sponsor: The AMA/FMF Racing National Championship
Enduro series as well as the AMA/FMF Racing National Hare & Hound
Series. FMF is also a major sponsor of Supercross, the Outdoor Nationals
and AMA Supermoto and even goes road racing with the Corona Extra Suzuki
Road Race team.
FMF takes care of the little guys, too, with sponsorships for events
as well as for individuals at the amateur level across many disciplines.
Everything from Loretta Lynn’s to Mini O’s to Mammoth to
Texas GNC—FMF is on hand to help out.
In the off-road segment FMF has had considerable involvement across all
major brands, providing two- and four-stroke systems and horsepower for
an exceptional array of teams and racers. FMF sponsors racers in almost
every field. Just look at this list and you’re sure to find more
than one of your heroes among them:
• Team Yamaha:
David Vuillemin

Kelly Smith

and Joey Lanza.
What does all of this to your customers? Let’s look at the FMF
Gnarly as an example. The Gnarly was developed for the rigors of off-road
racing and is used by champions such as Rodney Smith and Jason Raines
(who are currently in a dogfight, practically tied in points for the
Grand National Cross Country Championship). The Gnarly focuses on increasing
the lower rpm horsepower and torque to get riders out of the toughest
terrain. If your customers are looking to add 4-stroke tractor like torque
to their 2-strokes, they need a pipe that can withstand the harsh elements—and
this is the pipe.
The Gnarly also features nickel plating, a technological enhancement
that FMF also brought to the off-road exhaust industry. And, it can take
a beating thanks to super strong 18-gauge steel that makes rocks, tree
roots and harsh landings of little consequence. The Gnarly is built to
last, so even the casual off-roader can benefit from its significant
power gains, weight savings and longevity. And the Gnarly comes directly
from the off-road racing series in the United States to your customers.
And there is so much more than the Gnarly. Silencer/spark arrestors like
FMF’s best-selling Turbinecore 2 that features an exclusive “Turbine
Dampening System.” This top-notch product has earned its U.S. forest-legal
status. The straight-through design of the spark arrestor canister and
the performance flow stainless steel end cap ensure strength, durability
and most important, track- and trail-proven unrestricted power. The Turbinecore
2 is one of the most popular spark arrestors on the market today.
FMF’s highly acclaimed “Q” series silencers shook the
motorcycling world when they debuted in 2002. With its longer oval canister,
the trademarked Q uses internal technology that retains optimum flow
characteristics while enhancing sound absorption qualities. The U.S.
forest-legal spark arrestor will meet the mandated 96dB sound level set
by the U.S. Forest Service—making it the quietest 2-stroke performance
spark arrestor made! This is the perfect choice for customers who are
looking for serious sound-deadening qualities and excellent power.
FMF’s Factory 4 systems are a result of FMF’s work with Yamaha
of Troy. The Factory 4 broadens the powerband, increases overall horsepower
and torque gain while reducing and centralizing the weight. The Factory
4 features oval to round construction and a sleeker, “tucked in” profile,
which makes it less prone to crash damage. Through race testing, the
Factory 4 offers substantial power gains over standard systems while
lowering and centralizing the center of gravity.
In addition, FMF’s Factory 909 division works with many of the
same teams, partnerships that have aided in the development of FMF’s
Velocity grips and Force grips, as well as the sought-after Roost Guards
and the Mashers.
FMF and 909 products like these are developed to stand up to events like
the GNCC, the ISDE, the AMA/FMF Racing National Enduro Series and the
AMA/FMF Racing National Hare & Hound Series. Your customers can buy
the same products taken to the victory stand by any of these FMF champions.
