he most important connection any motorcycle makes is its connection to the road, and with Avons there’s no compromise. Avons are premium tires designed and manufactured to get the most from premium bikes. There are Avons for every segment of the market, too—touring, sport-touring, Supermoto, high-performance street and cruisers. Avons, particularly the Venoms and Azaros, are tires your customers need to know about.
The Venom Series is available in a wide rage of sizes and applications and make a great upgrade choice. When it comes to mileage and handling Venoms are outstanding, and thanks to design features like Avon’s sequential tread patterns for a quiet ride, special casings for low rolling resistance, and multi-arc tread patterns a Venom delivers a light and nimble sportbike feel, even on a cruiser. The Venom’s high-tech compounding serves up a stable, steady ride, too, and Venoms run cool. These tires handle, and the grip is tenacious. Venoms also feature the deepest tread and the highest load ratings in the business. Put all that together and you have a tire that excels in all styles of riding, and does it in all kinds of weather. And Venoms look good. There are blackwalls and whitewalls, there are even radial Venoms available in easy-fit OE sizes.
The Azaro ST and SPs are the upgrade tires sport-riders and sport-tourers need to look at. The AV45/46-STs cover the sport-touring market. There are 18 available sizes, eight fronts and 10 rears, and included in that mix are sizes like a 130/70ZR16 to give CBR900RR riders a high-mileage option and a burly 200/50ZR17 for muscle-machines like the ZX-12R. There’s a new 160/70V17, too, perfect for bikes like the BMW K1200LT and Honda ST1100. The Azaro AV49/50 SP and Pro Series offerings take all this one step further, with a compound and tread pattern developed on the track.
Azaros are serious tires. They feature Avon’s exclusive Advanced Variable Belt Density (A-VBD) system. The center tread sections use closely wound Aramid fibers for maximum straight-up/straight-line stability and long tire life, while at the shoulders those Aramid fibers are spaced wider for a bigger and more stable footprint at high lean angles. The combination adds up to a tire with optimum stress loads and contact patches throughout, at all lean angles. The Azaro rears feature Avon’s Spiral Belted Carcass (SBC) to accommodate added stress, and there’s an Enhanced Aqua Flow (EAF) computer-designed tread pattern to expel water from the tire’s footprint. Both front and rear Azaros have Avon’s Tri-Arc (TA) tread profiles, too, a pattern that varies across the face of the tire for enhanced handling and stability. The AV49/50-Pro Series tires add an even softer tread compound and more belts, making these radials super-sticky track-day terrors, and they’re still D.O.T approved.
Parts Unlimited has all these premium Avons in stock, ready to ship. And premium is the key word here. Riders who know what they want, and want the most from their bikes, will want to look at Avons. The Venoms and Azaros are, as Avon says, that “no compromise connection with the road.”
