ou wouldn’t head for the trail or track without your armor—helmet,
boots, the works—but what about your ATV? It’s a good bet
that machine’s going to take more of a beating than you are. So
what are you doing to protect it? Well, Pro Armor is ready and waiting.
Pro Armor has every bit of protection an ATV could need, all bolt-on
and fitting the most popular models. There’s A-Arm Armor, Chassis/Frame
Armor, Swing-Arm Armor, Front Bumpers, Side-Frame Guards, Nerf Bars with
built-in heel guards, Race Peg Nerf Bars and Racing Bumpers. There’s
even a trick Cooler Rack, and all of this is made with exceptional quality
and great design. Pro Armor uses only the highest grade materials, TIG
welding everything. The armor is available in brushed aluminum, with
some bumpers offering a ball-burnish finish. This stuff not only does
a great job protecting an ATV, it looks hot doing it.
Pro Armor protects an ATV where it counts. The A-Arm Armor, for instance,
is made from strong, lightweight aircraft aluminum and guards against
damage from rocks and other hazards. Pro Armor’s even thought to
recess the mounting areas on the armor so the bolts themselves don’t
get damaged. The Frame/Engine Armor provides excellent protection for
an ATV’s soft underbelly, also shielding any exposed oil lines
and the sides of the chassis. The Swing Arm Armor, guarding the swing
arm, shock mount, disc, sprocket and chain, uses extra-thick (1/4-inch)
heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminum. There’s even a tow-strap slot here
so you can pull your less-protected friends back to camp.
And take a look at Pro Armor’s Nerf Bars. Engineered for strength,
they’re made from heavy-wall 1 3/8-inch aluminum tubing and they
look great. These Nerf Bars even include an engineered heel guard as
an integral part, real safety when those rear tires are trying to chew
your ankles off! Other safety features include extra webbing to ensure
that your feet won’t slip though the openings, more tubular coverage
from front wheel to rear wheel and a heavy-duty mounting system to keep
everything in place during the most extreme conditions.
Pro Armor has just released a RACE PEG Nerf Bar, too. This design also
incorporates a heel guard, but comes with racing foot pegs that are wider
and longer than OE and have much more gripping power. Those foot pegs
are replaceable, too, a big hit on the racing scene where most racers
have to replace the entire nerf bar just to replace the foot pegs. Pro
Armor tests everything it makes though racing, by the way. Racer’s
feedback is a critical factor in every Pro Armor part.
Bottom line: Pro Armor is serious protection, but what else would you
expect from the company that supplies the big manufacturers with their
OE accessories? Pro Armor’s definitely kicked it up a notch here,
and Parts Unlimited has it all.
