Camoplast’s TRACKtion Control System features 144 uniformly positioned holes in the center belt that are suitable for 96 or 144 stud patterns.

Ice Claw™ tracks maximize traction and enhance acceleration as well as braking.

t’s the perfect solution for a trail rider who wants improved traction at modest cost with no installation or track warranty worries.
Independent research has demonstrated that use of properly designed and installed traction studs can significantly enhance snowmobile safety. Track studs can dramatically shorten stopping distances and help prevent spin-outs on hard-packed trails and ice. But some snowmobilers continue to shun this major safety upgrade due to cost, installation issues or track warranty concerns.
Camoplast, a leader in the snowmobile track market, now presents a breakthrough in worry-free traction with the new Ice Claw™ pre-studded track. This dramatic new product complements the existing Camoplast TRACKtion Control System™ to give trail riders a choice of stud types at attractive price points with no installation concerns and warranty coverage for track materials and workmanship.
The innovative Ice Claw track is based on an aggressive one-inch lug design with factory-installed carbide-tipped mini-studs developed specifically for this application. Standard 121-inch tracks carry 240 mini-studs, while 136-inch tracks hold 270 mini-studs.      These imbedded mini-studs provide measurable improvements in acceleration and braking, yet add only six-tenths-of-a-pound to the weight of a 121-inch track. That’s about 11.5 pounds less than using conventional snowmobile track studs!
Better yet, new Ice Claw tracks have a suggested retail price of only about $100 more than a standard track, and these tracks are covered by the standard two-year warranty. That makes Ice Claw tracks ideal as replacements or for installation on brand-new sleds.      It’s the perfect solution for a trail rider who wants improved traction at modest cost with no installation or track warranty worries.
The Camoplast TRACKtion Control System, introduced in October 2003, is a special series of High-Performance Trail and Touring tracks that are pre-holed for the installation of conventional track studs. Co-developed with the manufacturer of Woody’s traction products, they feature 144 uniform size, precisely positioned holes in the center belt that are suitable for 96 or 144 stud patterns. TRACKtion Control System tracks feature extra internal cords in a tighter array for increased strength. This racing track construction results in additional stiffness that reduces internal heat build-up at higher operating speeds, which in turn requires less horsepower to turn the track. And when used with properly selected and installed track studs the entire installation carries warranty coverage from the respective manufacturers. Details on using Woody’s studs are packed with the tracks.
The TRACKtion Control System is available in several 121-inch models including the popular Rip Saw, with 136-inch versions now available, too. Suggested retail prices are typically just $20 to $22 above standard tracks that are not pre-holed.
No matter whether they select a pre-studded Ice Claw track or the pre-holed TRACKtion Control System, your customers can avoid track stud installation difficulties and track warranty concerns, and without spending a fortune on this proven safety upgrade. It’s the progressive thinking you expect from Camoplast, the tops in tracks. Ask your Parts Unlimited rep for more information on these dramatic new track and traction developments today.
