Plenty of ATVs are rolling off dealer floors with radial tires. Well, thanks to AMS you now have the correct tubes to install in those radials when they suffer a puncture that can’t be patched. Because of the significant differences in how a radial tire performs, a proper repair requires a tube designed to match the profile of the tire. A radial tube. Radial tubes have an advanced radial compound and profile that matches the design of a radial tire, and as you know it’s not recommended that tubes intended for bias-ply tires ever be used in a radial; a bias-ply type tube won’t conform to the shape of that radial casing. Here’s the good news: That radial tube will work perfectly in a bias-ply tire. As Glynne Miller, who spearheaded the development of the AMS brand for Parts Unlimited points out, that radial technology makes it possible to use the new AMS tubes not only for radials, but inside bias-ply tires, as well. You can stock just radial ATV tubes and be certain you’re doing the right thing for both bias-ply and radial tires. “And aside from that,” Miller says, “another important thing to note, and another benefit, is the fact that radial tubes run cooler than a conventional tube in either kind of tire.” AMS radial tubes are available in a wide range of sizes to fit older as well as current ATV models. And there’s more. The V-Trax tire is yet another industry first from AMS. Just introduced, the V-Trax features an ultra-tough 6-ply carcass, an aggressive tread pattern and a trend setting sidewall design. There are seven sizes available to cover many popular applications, too. And be sure to check those Parts Unlimited catalog updates and Parts Net Web for new sizes in the already fast-selling AMS Swamp Fox tire. There are plenty of new AMS products due out in the months to come, so stay tuned and pay close attention. AMS Tires are taking off. Positive reviews are already showing up in many of the consumer publications, from the general interest magazines like Cycle News to the genre-specific writings of Motocross Action. Several magazine project ATVs are currently underway, too, sitting on AMS rubber with articles soon to appear. Add in the continued support and aggressive advertising from Parts Unlimited, and it’s no secret that the demand for AMS is set to skyrocket. Premium tires at budget prices—not to mention the addition of exciting new product like those radial tubes—tend to do that. The ATV tire market just might have a new leader here. |
