And when you get a flat the options are pretty straightforward: You can send the bike home on the back of a trailer, or if you have a tire repair kit handy you can deal with the problem right then and there. The folks at Progressive Suspension know that you’d rather not take the trailer way out, and to that end they offer several compact Tire Repair Kits that are easy to pack. The repair kits are available for tube and tubeless tires alike, making them handy for street and trail adventures. All kits come with the necessary items to deal with flats, too. For instance, the tube-type kit (TRC-2) contains patches, glue and CO2 cartridges with a handy flex line to fill the tube after the repair. The tubeless-type kit (TRCL-2) comes with plugs to fill the puncture hole, plus the CO2 cartridges and flex line. The TRK-2 kit is a compact kit (a favorite among dual-sport riders) that comes with Progressive’s new manually-operated Moto Pump. And finally the TRK-5 kit has patches and plugs, plus a large-capacity CO2 cartridge to handle even the biggest tire. These kits, plus replacement patches, plugs and CO2 cartridges, are available from Parts Unlimited, so talk to your sales rep now before the riding season begins. |
