ere’s a little secret: Icon’s discovered that the majority
of street riders make their apparel-buying decisions based onstyle, and it’s not necessarily racetrack style they’re their going for. They’re after cool, as in the “looks” meaning of that word. All this explains why the TiMax Mesh Jacket’s been such a success. It’s cool in both senses of that word. Not only is this a great-looking jacket, it’s a fantastic warm-weather riding jacket, too. Beginning with a durable free-flowing ballistic nylon material, the TiMax Mesh has genuine titaniu armor plates, there’s a multitude of soft armor, and it’s all reinforced with titanium thread. This is a tough jacket. And it’s comfortable. The pattern is anatomically cut with an action-back for a great fit, and with extensive venting and that open-weave mesh the jacket will keep any rider cool as a cucumber. Add in rivet-reinforced seams, windflap-elimination snaps, waist-adjustment straps, an internal breast pocket, and a choice of six colors (Black, White, Blue, Red, Yellow or Green) and it’s no secret why the TiMax Mesh is so popular. And now it can be teamed with a TiMax Mesh Pant. Priced at $130, the pant is made with the same durable free-flowing ballistic nylon used in the jacket, and it’s just about bullet-proof, too. And it’s got the right look. It’s cut almost like a motocross pant for the street, only like no motocross pant you’ve ever seen before. Functions? You better believe it. Along with that breathable openweave mesh, there’s that same titaniumthread reinforcement used in the jacket, only here it’s in the lower legs. There’s removable CEapproved knee and shin armor for race-type protection on the street, there’s zippered intake vents, plenty of soft armor and abrasion-resistant panels, and there are expansion gussets for flexibility and comfort. The TiMax Mesh Pant comes in a couple of colors, too, both nicely complementing the jackets.
