Pro Circuit’s new Ti-4 GP Low Boy has been designed to reduce weight and increase performance.

espite all the advances in technology, the fact remains that, in terms of high weight mass, four-stroke engines pose problems for off-road racers. Chassis tuners will tell you that by reducing a four-stroke bike’s overall weight and centralizing its mass, handling will improve. Given that and other criteria, such as increased engine performance, Pro Circuit set out to build what it feels is the best over-the-counter four-stroke exhaust system on the market. That new system is the Ti-4 GP Low Boy.
Constructed of high-quality grade-2 aerospace titanium, this exhaust system was designed to reduce weight and increase performance. The entire system, front to back, is tailored for the demands of serious racers.
The Ti-4 GP was especially developed to lower and centralize the machine’s center of gravity, crucial for a four-stroke motocross bike. Yet the system doesn’t sacrifice silencer volume and durability. By keeping the silencer short, and mounting it as far forward as possible, the Ti-4 Low Boy is less susceptible to damage. In addition, the new slip-fit spring design provides more support and less tension while reducing fatigue to the silencer body itself. The CNC-machined modular end cap design also allows the engine tuner to match the exhaust’s harmonics with the engine’s power curve, without noticeably increasing the noise decibel level.
The Ti-4’s muffler attaches to a lightweight, hand-assembled Low Boy Titanium head pipe that is TIG welded for optimum fit, strength, and finish. The forward head pipe design again helps centralize the weight without disturbing the exhaust system’s optimum tuned length. Moreover, the CNC-machined flange offers better seal at the exhaust port, and transmits less vibration so that it is less prone to cracking.
While the Ti-4 offers almost instant hook-up under power, Pro Circuit’s new system also allows for substantial horsepower gains that have been verified on the dyno and at the racetrack by teams such as Team Factory Connection Honda and Pro Circuit Kawasaki. That means your customers get the same system that Ivan Tedesco, Travis Preston, Stephane Roncada and many other top pro racers use at the racetrack. The Ti-4 GP Low Boy retails for $749.95, a price that serious racers find cheap in terms of horsepower. It’s available now from Parts Unlimited.

lutch adjustments have never been easier, thanks to Pro Circuit’s new Quick Adjust Clutch Perch that features a threaded on-the-fly mechanism for precise one-handed clutch cable adjustment. This clutch perch has a special molded rubber cover to help keep mud and dirt from accumulating on the lever mechanism, and the large internal diameter clamp has a Teflon bushing so the lever twists on the bar rather than breaks off during a fall. Many four-stroke riders will appreciate the Quick Adjust Clutch Perch, too, thanks to the hot-start pivot bolt and lever that’s incorporated into certain designs. For more information, talk with your Parts Unlimited sales rep. Suggested retail: $139.95.

iquid cooling for engines is good, but water has an adverse effect on motorcycle chains. That’s why Pro Circuit’s PC-03 Seal and O-Ring Grease was developed. Using Liquilon, a patented, long-lasting chemical that provides lubrication even after other more conventional-type greases are washed away by solvents and water, and PTFE, a Teflon-like material that impregnates itself into the metal for a super-slick performance, PC-03 helps reduce internal wear and friction even under extreme temperatures.
Joining PC-03 on the shelf is Pro Circuit’s new PC-04 Assembly Lube that’s designed to minimize metal-to-metal contact during initial start-up of a rebuilt engine. PC-04 provides three times greater film strength than conventional disulfide greases, and it clings to all surfaces so it’s an excellent rust inhibitor, too. PC-04 will mix with engine oil, so it can be used on all lubricated parts such as bearings, bearing journals, transmission shaft and gears, and clutch shafts and push rods. It’s also excellent for use on bolt threads where smooth operation is necessary for accurate torque readings. Suggested retail for both lubricants: $4.95 each.
