AG Entertainment (a Los Angeles-based entertainment company) and Parts Unlimited have created a new brand development partnership that will allow both companies the opportunity to leverage their respective brand messages in new and exciting promotional environments.
Kicking off the relationship is the new hit movie “Moto X Kids,” a fun feature film now playing in theaters that stars such noted actors as Lorenzo Lamas, Gary Busey, Dan Haggerty, Alana Austin, Cody the Chimp and others. Parts Unlimited played a major role in outfitting actors in the movie in Thor motocross gear and other related products, track signage and more.

ne of the major dealer hospitality events of the year for Parts Unlimited is the annual World Snowmobile Championships at Eagle River, Wisconsin. With company founder Fred Fox himself a former winner of this event, the race weekend includes oval track, Snow Cross and other activities and draws racers, fans and industry representatives from around the country. This past January, Parts Unlimited invited a number of its customers to join them for the 2004 championships.

For many years, the hospitality suite in turn one at Eagle River has had the Parts Unlimited flags flying.

Now this is the way to watch a snowmobile race!

UB Enterprises, makers of motorcycle exhaust systems and one of the foremost participants in speed trials at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats, has announced plans for a motorcycle only event there September 5 -10, 2004.
This first annual event, organized and run by BUB in conjunction with its major sponsors, promises to be an exciting race meet and a chance for all motorcycle enthusiasts to ride the famed salt flats.
Never before have motorcycle designers, builders and riders had their own speed trials at Bonneville. Not only will this event offer that, but also it offers the opportunity for every type of rider to have a run on the salt flats. From the high-speed streamliners, to the guy who just loves to ride his bike, all will have the opportunity to push their machines to the limit.
In addition, for the first time ever, BUB is offering prize money in a range of categories. The rider with the top time of the meet will be able to add $10,000 to their bank account! Even the smallest bikes have an opportunity to win some money with the “Top MPH per CC” ratio category.
For those that don’t have the means to make an attempt for an ultimate land speed record, but want to be able to say “I have run at Bonneville,” this is the time! These speed trials will offer any entrant the opportunity to make a run down the track provided they meet all safety requirements and pass equipment inspections. For a small fee, these competitors will be able to make a pass down the salt flat, receive a t-shirt and their official timing slip for that run. BUB calls this the “Run what ya brung” entrant.
BUB Enterprises President Denis Manning said: “We want everyone to have fun racing, regardless of the type of bike or speeds attempted. We want people to be able to live out dreams of making a pass at the famed Bonneville. We want those whose life dreams have been to get that ultimate record, be recognized for the work they have done and the efforts they have made. We want dreams born. We want records broken. We are here to have fun. We are here to race.”

otion Pro held an open house a year ago to celebrate its new facility in San Carlos, California. This year, they had an even better reason to celebrate; it was the anniversary of their 20th year in business. Tying into the weekend that the AMA Supercross races were being held at nearby Pac Bell Park, the event drew a number of local friends and business associates of company founder Chris Carter, as well as many others in town for the races.

It was literally standing room only for the many attendees of this year’s event. With Carter’s vintage motorcycle and memorabilia collection on display and the numerous motorcycle racing legends invited, the open house has quickly become a popular event.

Chris Carter (right) has won plenty of trophies at race events through the years, but none might be more special than the award of “thanks” that he got from his employees at the open house. Brandon Baldwin makes the presentation.
