The STXCD series is exclusive to Parts Unlimited and aimed right at the "Streetfighter" crowd. It features an ultra-trick carbon fiber center.

ave Rotors are a whole new concept in brake design. They’re lighter, more efficient, they last longer, and they’re definitely better looking than any OE setup. Race teams worldwide have already made the change, and for a reason: Wave Rotors deliver. And now, with direct-replacement Wave Rotors available for all late-model street bikes, oversized and polished models for the “Streetfighter” crowd, carbon-fiber rotors for sportbikes, and a whole new line of Wave Rotors for dirt bikes, Braking has made it easier than ever to switch to the Wave.
As wild as it looks, Braking’s Wave design and technology offers enhanced stopping power and efficiency. The increased linear edge of the rotor allows constant trailing edge of the pads for improved brake feel, as well as evenly using the brake pad’s surface area—a key to good braking. More than that, the unique shape of a Wave Rotor gives it the ability to expand and contract, dissipating heat more efficiently and avoiding coning. The Wave Rotors make for some great braking.
Those Wave Rotors for dirt bikes are brand new to the lineup. They’re direct-replacements, too, and they’re available for most dirt bikes. They’re offered in all the standard front sizes, and they swap right onto a stock bike. No extra brackets are required and the price is right; these brand-new Wave Rotors retail for $129.90. There are two new special additions to the Wave sportbike line, as well, and they’re exclusive to Parts Unlimited and aimed right at the “Streetfighter” market. The STXPD series comes with a highly polished center, while the STXCD series uses ultra-trick carbon fiber centers. Wave Rotors are CAD-CAM laser cut from Braking’s proprietary high-carbon 420 stainless steel. Heat-treated and lap-ground, they’re absolutely parallel and perfectly flat.
Braking has also expanded its line of performance off-road calipers this year. Coming off a strong year of sales for the single-piston Honda CR rear caliper, Braking now offers that same oversize-piston caliper for the new Yamaha YZ, the KTMs, Kawasaki KLXs and Suzuki’s RMZ off-road bikes. It’s been rated a “must have” by top consumer magazines. And it’s a straight bolt-on—it comes ready to go, loaded with Braking’s big SM15 pads. Combine all that with a Braking rear Wave Rotor and you’ll have the ultimate braking machine.
Your Parts rep has the details on all of this. Give him a call. On the street or on the track the Wave works, and now it’s easier than ever to install.

Braking's Wave design and technology offers enhanced stopping power thanks to its unique shape that allows it dissipate heat more evenly.

Another new addition to Braking's Wave sportbike line is the STXPD series, which features a highly polished center.
