elcome to the 28th Annual Dealernews Powersports Expo. We like to refer to it as our Superbowl. This show is by far the biggest event of the year for Parts Unlimited and we are going to roll out the red carpet for you, our dealers, that have decided to attend. If you’re not attending this year, start making plans now to come next year. A good time is definitely had by all. Unlike the Superbowl, which draws a close to the NFL season, the Indy show acts as a jump start for the majority of the powersports seasons. The warmer days of spring are just around the corner and you can feel it in the air that the riding is near. So here’s a quick preview of a few things that will be shown at the Parts Unlimited compound:

ICON. What more can be said about this unbelievable line. The excitement generated in the industry by these ground-breaking products has been phenomenal and the gurus at Icon have found a way to create more. The new Burner line is a matching helmet, jacket and glove combo that you’ve got to check out. Of course, we didn’t want the Ti-Max gloves to feel left out so they’ll be showing up with a new “Gold” flavor. If you ever feel the need for titanium pants, we’ve got those too.

You’ll definitely want to see the new additions to the THOR line with the launch of their spring collection of motocross gear and casuals. The casuals have been a home run this year and the new threads are a sure way to continue that trend. The line is only available through Parts Unlimited dealers and will help pull the customer from the mall into your stores.

Z1R’s wall of helmets last year showed our commitment to this line and the introduction of the Stance, Rail and brand-new Metro helmets add to its depth. The fit and feel of these helmets is outstanding thanks to the development of our North American head form interior that is used in all of the Z1R, Icon and Thor helmets to better fit the heads of your market. Come by, try a few on, and check out the new members of the Z1R family.

Alpinestars is the industry’s leader in footwear and with the release of the all-new Tech 6 it looks like they plan on staying there. Combine this with their latest offering of street riding apparel like the 360—a one-piece textile riding suit and the Alpinestars booth should be made a top priority to see.

Last, but definitely not least, is Moose. They will be rolling out their latest offering of Sahara riding gear. The popularity of this line continues to grow more and more each year and with the hot days of summer on the distant horizon now is the time to get ready. Combine this with a new triple-clamp and a few additions to the Honda by Moose line and the Moose booth is a must-see.

As you can see, the Indy show has lots to offer. It’s a great time to get the scoop on all the new stuff, refresh your memory on the old stuff and a perfect time to look for new ways to maximize your dealership’s potential. As always, we sincerely appreciate the support that all of our dealers continue to give to us and we look forward to spending some time with you at the Grand Daddy of them all. Welcome to Indy!!!

Have a fantastic year in ’04,
