von’s soon-to-be-released super wide 300-series tires have sure grabbed everyone’s attention. Those are some huge rear tires.

But don’t get stuck there. Avon’s got lots more going on this year, premium tires you and your customers need to know about. All your customers. There are new Avons for every segment of the motoworld. Touring, sport-touring, highperformance street, track-day rubber, cruisers, customs, dual-sport, supermoto, off-road—it’s all here. That AM42 Venom R 300 is hot stuff, but it’s just the beginning.

There are lots of new Venoms for 2004, including a soon-to-be-released super-wide 300-series tire.

For starters, take a look at everything else new in the Venom line. There are more sizes and applications throughout, including new versions of the hot-selling Venom R 200/55VR18 and R 180/55VR18. One’s a direct replacement for the AM23 and the other’s molded up just slightly wider. There are AM42 150/80HB16s and 150/80VB16s, too, once again, an OEM replacement tire and a wider version for customs. And there’s a lot more.

There are Venoms for cruising, for high-load touring, there are blackwalls and whitewalls, and there are even radial Venoms in OE sizes. They’re all firstrate premium tires with sequential tread patterns for a quiet ride, special casings for low rolling resistance, and multi-arc tread patterns for a light, sportbike feel. Venoms run cool, too, and work great for all styles of riding. Check them out, especially all those new ones.

The Azaros have been redesigned and re-engineered for no-compromise sport-riding and sport-touring.

Take a look at the new generation Sport radials, too, the Azaros. They’ve been redesigned, engineered and compounded for no-compromise sportriding and sport-touring. The SP Sport and Pro-Series tires, and ST Sport Touring versions, now come in a wider choice of sizes, too. Azaros have Avon’s Advanced Variable Belt Density (A-VBD) construction, a system of closely wound Aramid fibers in the center tread for straight-up stability and fibers spaced wider apart at the shoulders for stability at high lean angles. The Azaro rear comes with Avon’s Spiral Belted Carcass (SBC), as well. It’s a system of ultra-strong belts to deal with acceleration and braking stresses. Azaro tread patterns shoot water out from under the tires, and have Avon’s Tri-Arc (TA) profile for a balance of handling and stability. The Pro Series models, designed for ultra-street or track-day riding, have all this plus a softer tread compound and additional belts. And the Azaros are eligible for Avon’s Road Hazard Warranty Coverage, an industry first, wherein the tires are replaced, no questions asked, if they pick up a nail or are somehow damaged in the first millimeter of tread life…ask your Parts or Drag Rep

Avon’s Distanzia is a great choice for long distance riding.

There’s plenty that’s new in the on-/off-road dual-sport market, too. The Avon Gripster, for instance. Here’s a dual-sport tire that’s comfortable on the street all week long, and just as ready for the weekend trails. A deep tread pattern lasts seemingly forever, and
this tire grips tight on all surfaces. Hence the name. It’s the tire-of choice for OE wheel sizes in Supermoto competition. And Avon’s Distanzia is the long-distance adventure riding champ. "Around the World" traveler Ted Simon chose Distanzias, and he put 78,000 miles on his over some of the worst conditions. For extreme Supermoto look at the Pro-Xtreme Rain tires, developed from Avon’s pure-race versions, but DOT legal. They’re winners anywhere, street or track.

Lots here. Avon’s 2004 lineup definitely covers it all. From the biggest custom tire on the market to quick tires for the track, street or trail, Avon’s got it. And it’s all in the Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties warehouses.
