he ability to impress fellow riders and make women swoon has always been a much-sought-after characteristic in a custom bike. It’s undeniable proof that the blood, sweat and tears invested in your bike were worth the effort. Over the last few years some have begun to develop a higher tolerance to the fantastical creations of the much-celebrated bike builder. The once-potent effect of the well-built custom had lost a little power.
     With a reputation for being at the cutting edge of innovative design, Performance Machine came up with a solution.      The Performance Machine 18”x10” wheels have arrived and the custom bike world will never be the same. Created for the latest generation of gargantuan rubber, PM Phat wheels are also available in 8.5 inches, for the more conservative builder. Each wheel is CNC lathe-turned for a perfectly round wheel and then CNC-milled to achieve the unreal shapes and designs. The finished product will then spend hours in PM’s in-house polishing and inspection departments. Many are then sent out for a multi-step chroming process. The result is the very best wheels that any bike builder/artist could hope for.
     Look for the Villain, Trinity and the recent addition—Hooligan—in 16-inch, 18-inch and 21-inch in a staggering variety of widths. Not only are these Performance Machine wheels tough, good-looking, and well-made, they can be style-matched with Performance Machine's rotors and pulleys. A slicker looking, better performing package would be hard to find. Best of all, there's never any mounting issues, either. Everything's matched, everything fits, everything bolts together.
